The Ozempic Rebound

Another week, another phrase that I've totally made up

It's becomming a habit Reader

I might have just made up the term 'Ozempic Rebound', but it's a very real thing

Here's a weird thing (it's not weird at all);

When Ozpempic was approved in the UK earlier this year, the number of people contacting me about losing weight noticably dropped πŸ˜•

I kind of expected it, it's fine

But now, I'm getting MORE people than usual coming to me

Why? πŸ€”

Because they tried Ozempic, it worked, then they stopped and the the wieght has started to pile back on πŸ“ˆ

It's the Ozempic Rebound πŸ’Š

Of course, this was ALWAYS going to happen

I saw it a mile off.

Ozempic doesn't magically get you into a calorie deficit

But it does supress your appetite, which means it's more likely you'll eat less, and therefore get into a deficit and start losing weight

Which is great... When you're taking it

When you STOP taking it, you're appetite goes back to normal, so your eating patterns go back to normal and your weight eventaully goes back to, well, 'normal'

The same thing happens with any 'quick fix'

  • Intermittant fasting πŸ•‘
  • OMAD πŸ§†
  • Vegan diets πŸ₯—
  • Carnivore diets πŸ–

The thing is, you need to learn to eat in way that will allow you lose weight when circumstances are totally normal

That means;

  • Not while you're on a meditation and Yoga retreat in Bali πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

  • Not while you get a sudden hit of motivation that will only last 5 weeks πŸ“†

  • Not while all your friends are losing weight πŸ‘©πŸΏβ€πŸ€β€πŸ‘©πŸΌ

  • And definitely not while you're taking an appetite-supressant called Ozempic πŸ’Š

Sure, all of these might work in the short term

But they are gauranteed to fail in the long term

So, forget all that

Learn to eat and live like a normal person, while losing weight πŸ“‰

Then you'll be able to keep it off forever

I've sent you a few emails about Ozempic before πŸ’Š You probably know my feelings on it by now Reader If not, let me summarise; Yes, Ozempic probably will help you lose weight πŸ“‰ It works by suppressing your appetite, so you eat fewer calories, thus creating a calorie deficit ⬇ When you stop taking Ozempic, your appetite goes back to normal This means that you'll start eating more calories again, and your weight will gradually increase πŸ“ˆ So while Ozempic will likely work for most people - the...

I saw someone post this on Instagram (As a joke... I think) I thought it was pretty funny Reader It's funny because it's kind of true Most people do just need to eat less... lol Yep, most of the time it is just that simple But is online weight loss coaching a scam? Obviously I would say no, because I make money out of it But if people know they just need to eat less - then why are so many people still overweight? There's something else going on I've helped over 100 people lose between 10 and...
