9 Bad Things I've Learned About People from Weight Loss Coaching

This isn't intended to call anyone out Reader

I've had (and still do have) some awesome clients (some have lost 30+ pounds)

But I've also had a lot of clients that haven't had any success AT ALL.

And it's not because there's something wrong with them with them (no their metabolism wasn't broken 🀣)

It's because they didn't have the right mindset, and they didn't allow themselves to work on it

Here are 9 things unsuccessful people have in common, so you can avoid the same pitfalls....

  1. Most People Are Lazy 😴

Weight loss can be a very low-effort activity

You don't need to spend hours meal prepping or kill yourself in the gym 5 days week πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ

All I ask is that you track your weight, calories and steps daily - this shouldn't take more than 10 minutes a day MAX

But some people can't even do that - you have to put SOME effort in.

2. Shit In = Shit Out πŸ’©

Leading on from that point, the less effort you make, the worse your results will be

Same with any other area of life

If you want to lose weight, it doesn't need to be priority #1 in life, but it does need to be somewhere in your top 5

3. Patience Beats Everything 🐒

Weight loss is slow.

It just is

Slower than you think

If you think its' going to take you three months, it'll most likely take 6. Some times other stuff gets in the way πŸ“…

But if you have the patience to see it through, you WILL get there

4. Victim Mentality Kills Results 😩

Things don't just happen to you - EVERYTHING is a result of the choices you make

"It was raining out so I couldn't do my steps" 🌧

Bullshit, yes you could have - just put a coat on and do your steps anyway.

Sometimes obstacles crop up - find excuses to do the thing rather than to not do it

(Read that again).

5. Inconsistency Breeds Inconsistency πŸ˜’

Losing weight is about momentum

The more good weeks you build up, the fatser the results will come and the more you'll want to carry on

But if you keep having bad weeks, you will struggle to get back on track.

It's a slippery slope.

6. Scarcity Mindset Will Stop You Doing Anything πŸ’Έ

"Life got expensive so I had to quit"

I can't comment on anyone's financial situation, but I've had people say this to me and then come back months later, telling me they've spent money and Weight Watchers or a ton of BS supplements, or Β£2000 worth of PT classes and failed

Then they come back to me and spend MORE money

Just commit to it - if you quit you'll just end up spending more in the long run

7. Everyone Wishes They Started Earlier πŸ“†

And I mean EVERYONE

Stop waiting - life is going to happen anyway, you might as well be getting results now

8. Recency Bias Is Evil 😈

Scale weight fluctuates - you can't stop that from happening βœ‹

But just because you weighed in 1 pound higher than yesterday doesn't mean it's your new weight and all your hard work is wasted

Putting more stock in your most recent weigh-in will drive you insane

You need to look at weekly averages, and where your weight is compared to last week, last month and the last 3 months πŸ“‰

Or just let me do that

9. Rushing is Pointless

You can eat super low calories and lose weight quickly

But good luck doing that for long enough to make a difference

You'll eventually binge on whatever you've been restricting, and all the weight will go back on

Take it slow.

That's it

No one is perfect, but you do need the right mindset to lose weight

The good news is, I can help you develop that

I've sent you a few emails about Ozempic before πŸ’Š You probably know my feelings on it by now Reader If not, let me summarise; Yes, Ozempic probably will help you lose weight πŸ“‰ It works by suppressing your appetite, so you eat fewer calories, thus creating a calorie deficit ⬇ When you stop taking Ozempic, your appetite goes back to normal This means that you'll start eating more calories again, and your weight will gradually increase πŸ“ˆ So while Ozempic will likely work for most people - the...

I saw someone post this on Instagram (As a joke... I think) I thought it was pretty funny Reader It's funny because it's kind of true Most people do just need to eat less... lol Yep, most of the time it is just that simple But is online weight loss coaching a scam? Obviously I would say no, because I make money out of it But if people know they just need to eat less - then why are so many people still overweight? There's something else going on I've helped over 100 people lose between 10 and...
