✈🤮 Vertical Take Off

Picture this

You're sitting on the plane waiting to go on holiday

You've been waiting for this for months

Finally time for some sun and not checking your emails 🌞

The engines start up

You taxi along the runway, it's all good, you've done this 100 times before

You start to pick up speed, you're pushed back in your chair ✈

You feel the moment you lift off the runway and you start thinking about what Netflix series you're going binge on your iPad

But something isn't right

The engines are louder than normal...

A LOT louder

You look out the window and instead of seeing the skyline, you see the runway

Your fellow passengers start screaming 😱

Kids are crying

Rucksakes, handbags and phones are flying towards your face 👜

You're alreday in the clouds and the entire pane is shaking violently 🛬

As you reach for the sickbag you think "this is it"

But I have some good news

You've survived this totally fictional scenario

It makes you think, why don't planes take off at a much steeper angle if it cuts some time off the flight?! 🤔

Well for the same reason that you shouldn't diet as quickly as possible

Yes, it gets from A to B quickly 🏎

But it'll be a shit experience

You'll need to agressively restrict your calories

You won't be able to go out for dinner or drinks ❌🍷

You'll need to be exercising intensely multiple times per week 🏃‍♀️

Yes you'll get to your destination quickly...

But you'll most likely put all the weight back because you haven't learned how to eat proeprly while living your life 📈

And you'll never want to diet ever again

(I wouldn't balme you)

Your take off angle was too steep

But let's say you do it a different way...

You take off normally, gaining altitue and speed steadily

You eat a moderate amount of calories

You just do some extra walking everday 🚶‍♂️

You can fit in a holiday here and there, or a friend's wedding, or a work dinner 👰 🥗🍻

Yes ou get to destination more slowly

But you're safe.

No one is puking 🤮

You're chilled, you're enjoying the journey

In fact, you wouldn't mind being on this plane for a while

Yes, you'll eventually get to your destination, but you'll do it in a way that's stress free

You won't crash land in the sea 🌊

It's slower, but it's better

And the same is true of dieting

If you try to rush it, you're gonna end up in the middle of the atlantic on a life raft crying and covered in puke
